Very much a potato camera photo but it should be an awesome day at the gun range 4 guns and 1000yrds here I come. (Nice driving roads on the way to the range is a big bonus!)

Damn, enjoy it while you can! I'm hoping one day I'll move to the U.S. (I'm in Canada LOLOL) so I can enjoy a day like that. (I can own a gun once I'm 18/21 (can't remember), but I don't think there are any ranges near me in Toronto.
(BTW title misspelled)

At 18 you can own a gun, there is likely a range somewhere. I own a nice .308.

Never had a chance to shoot a riffle. Been wanting to buy a cheap 9mm carbine for fun.

7.62 NATO/.308 is the best round, went to Arizona with my father and shot plenty of stuff, (FN FAL included)

Is it the L I was debating about the L? And you have to be 18 to own your own gun here in the US and 21 for pistol. Why can't you enjoy a day like this is Canada?

There is no such thing as a boring gun. I don't know what 9mm ammunition for a rifle costs. If you want cheap and cheerful get a $250 single shot HNR in 243 and you can accurately hit targets at 500 yards all day long

Well I live with my mom (if my dad was here instead of London I'm sure we wouldve worked something out by now lol), but I'm looking now there are some close ones, but you need a PAL and a minors license lets you borrow a non restricted rifle, it's quite a bit more complicated I suppose.

Sounds like a pain in the ass to get a gun. Are a lot of guns restricted or not?

It is possible to get restricted guns, but you need to get another license and all that stuff (prob waiting periods and stuff, I haven't bothered to look yet), but there are some cool non-restricted stuff, I'd like to own a .357 lever action, to own something like this you need to pass a test and get your license which must be renewed every 5 years.
Oh and yeah there's an L.

Never shot a lever action and I imagine a .357 gives a good satisfying kick. Sounds like a fun gun. And that's a lot of hoops to jump through sorry about that!

there's one near stoufville they let you borrow a hand gun and you go in with somesort of marshal that bypass you needing a license
Can't remember the name or if they still have this bypass (it was a couple years ago) but I'm sure Google can help... (cause it's still to early on a Sunday for me too function)

It would be super cool to be a range officer there, but you have to have an R-Pal (whatever that is).

Looks like fun. Though I personally enjoy shooting shotguns! I use an old pump action savage.

Shotguns are quite a lot of fun too! Shooting pigeon targets can keep you on your toes.
